I have been beading for nine years. It all started with a rainy day at the Jersey Shore. I visited a local bead store and purchased a beading kit. It had the most beautiful azure crystals in it. I took the kit home and in a drawer it went.

A year or so later, I needed some surgery and was home from work for a couple of months. I got bored one day and recovered the kit. I made my first necklace and earring set. A neighbor saw the set and wanted one. I made her a necklace and earrings and she actually offered me money for it. I started doing some craft shows and now have my items in several local boutiques.

As far as my painting...it started at the Jersey Shore also, where my sister-in-law, Cathy showed me how to paint on a clam shell!

I was an art major in school and took as many art classes as my schedule would allow. Some of my paintings have traveled to Europe for art shows.

Lately, I had not been painting much.  Then, a co-worker's beloved dog died and I offered to do a portrait for her. This turned into another portrait, then another. I have now completed over a dozen watercolor portraits. I have done people, but am much better with furrier subjects!
